Jetta, An Awesome Ride!! Part 1

November 1st, 2016 by

What better way to start out a blog, than with the Volkswagen Jetta. The Jetta is a fantastic midsize sedan, that gives a high level of versatility in the automotive market. There are several different models for all types of drivers. From the business professional seeking the trim level of the SEL, to the Sport enthusiast looking for the 2.0L turbo engine in the GLI, the Volkswagen Jetta has options for all. But, rather than focus on that, I want to dive into the safety features that the Jetta has to offer.

Let’s start with the brakes. Anti-Lock Braking System, or ABS, has become a standard in our world. The Jetta has ABS on disc brakes, which are more readily cooled than the drum brakes of old. Disc brakes are also better in immersion situations. Meaning, that if your car goes through water, they will dry off faster and perform better in inclement situations. The 2017 Volkswagen Jetta also has what is called, Automatic Post-Collision Braking System. When your car has an impact, it can stop or it can be deflected off into an another direction. APCB detects the collision and automatically starts to brake, preventing you from rolling into further danger. This is combined with two other stability enhancing systems. Electronic Brake-pressure Distribution (EBD) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) work together to keep your car from skidding out of control. EBD works to keep your brake pressure even during hard stopping, and ESC can adjust the engine throttle and apply corrective forces to the wheels that need them most. In fact, there are seven stability-enhancing systems working together to help you in collision circumstances.

Whether you are a college student on the way to class, or a dad taking your family to the park, isn’t this the type of safety that you want in a car for you? The 2017 Volkswagen Jetta is a remarkable vehicle and we still have a lot more features to show you. Stay with us for daily updates on just how amazing it is to be in a new Volkswagen.
